The third track, Scars to Your Beautiful was one of five songs that reached the top charts on Billboard as well as the Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200 in addition to Billboard Hot 100. This particular track was special due to her interview with rapper Rap-Up, many of the listeners related to her journey through self-doubt and discovering how to accept herself. Cara is known for including messages on the importance of mental health, kindness and self-love into her music. The music that she has written comes from Cara's personal struggle to conquer mental health issues and insomnia. According to an Reuters interview, the album was described as semi-tumultuous and half-perfected. Her development was assisted by therapy. She advises other people when they need to ask for assistance. Alessia Cara was born to Italian parents on July 11th, 1996. Her parents gifted her with an instrument when she was 10 and this led to her passion for music. When she was 13she began covering songs she adored on YouTube in order to show people that she was a talented artist and had the courage to pursue a career as a musician. One of her tracks, Sweater Weather, was the first thing that made her stand out. EP Entertainment gave her the chance to write and write her own songs.
